The Kalita Group began in Aspen, Colorado in 1998 as a virtual communications firm. Its comprehensive marketing and public relations services empowered small business owners and independent service providers in 14 major U.S. cities and four countries.
These entrepreneurial clients knew they needed strategic marketing communications to stay competitive, but found such support elusive for small businesses with small budgets. Unable to afford the hefty retainers that accompany most big marketing, advertising and PR agencies, entrepreneurs were left to cross their fingers and hope for the best...until we brought a reasonable price to this critical endeavor.
In working with the small business market, we found our clients to have needs well beyond the scope of marketing and PR. While the Internet was changing the face of how business gets done, the number of entrepreneurs starting businesses was multiplying by the second, and solopreneurs by the dozen were working in a vacuum, our clients felt penned in by the conundrum of having to do everything themselves…because they had the budget to outsource next to nothing. They were lonely, they were tired and they often felt like giving up.
Like most successful businesses, we saw the entrepreneurial writing on the wall, and expanded our team and our resources to meet the comprehensive needs of the innovative thinkers we wanted to serve: entrepreneurs.
Today, we empower entrepreneurs across the globe with not only strategic marketing and PR guidance and services, but also with effective, proven solutions for all things entrepreneurial. Geographically, we have left the beautiful, serene Rocky Mountains behind and returned to the steady pulse of Washington, D.C., where our center of operations is now based.
